Back to topic- is there a way to turn off the dingdingding of a dog sitting on the passenger seat? My 2010 I had had a keyswitch and I could turn off the airbag and the alarm. My 2013 has no such creature so am I doomed to listen to the stoopit alarm for miles and hours on end? I've been searching forever for a solution, maybe I'm just ignorant.....

It tells in the owners manual how to deactivate the ding ding ding.
Or as it's called in the manual - the Belt-Minder feature.
I've done it in other Ford vehicles that I've owned.
