Cant raise my damn back seat! Hope others have had this problem and can suggest something. Folded the small back seat down and all the pulling of the lever I can't raise the seat back to the upright position. I can see the cable that runs across the to the other side and maybe it needs shortening. If someone could confirm this and tell me how this is done. Thanks...
If you're talking about the second row seats I know what the problem is. Your seat back is hung on the seat bottom that you folded up. Push that seat bottom towrard the front of the EX and the back will fold up. Toy may need two people until you figure out what is happening. I use my elbow, but it is still awkward.
I had to use wd on the hinges but yes it does catch and it sometime takes a huge pull factor to get it to release . My ex has been a hay hauler so I assumed it was the weight of hay and bags of feed that weighed it down and maybe put too much for it to handle..
Move your driver seat all the way to the back against the folded rear seat.
That will create pressure on back seat and freed your folded back.
Maybe not same gremlin but works on mine all the time.
Funny. This happened to me this weekend. I folded the seats down, then couldn't get one side up at all. What happened was that my wife pushed the passenger seat all the way back and didn't let the middle seat go all the way down.
Solution: I moved the front passenger seat all the way forward which gave the middle seat room to completely go down, then the middle seat came right up.

Is it just me, or are you talking about the 3rd row seat?
I think he is talking about the 2nd (middle) row and is referring to the smaller half of the 60/40 split. I do not think the 3rd row uses a cable system. Read his post carefully.

Thanks to you all, you wouldn't think that the folded forward seat would have that much effect on raising the lowered one. I did as you mentioned and took the presser off with my elbow and it came right up. Prob had the passenger seat a bit too far back. These situations only seem to happen when your showing off your newly purchased vehicle and going out for supper with friends.
I'm 6'5 and like to lean my seat back a lil more then most (no not all ghetto like) and I always end up having to slide my front seats forward to get the 2nd row to flip back up for me. They do tend to require a lil bit of finagling even then still thoug, I'll have to try the elbow pushing the lower half forward trick next time.
