Speedometer not working?

Speedometer not working?
Hi All,
I am new to Fords and just received a 2011 F250 4x4 gas engine truck with the new job I just got. The speedometer, cruise control, and odometer are not working? I'm thinking the speed sensor is the first place to check? Where is it located? What else should I check? I have read that holding the reset button on the steering wheel and turning on the key will let me do a gauge test, will this still work if it is displaying a trouble code like trailer brake controller malfunction?
