need help fast!!

Hello guys so I am getting ready to go on vacation this weekend with my f350 and I was driving today when suddenly the truck shut down while going at about 25 mph. I tried to start it and it just kept cranking. I got it started 5 mins later and it threw a P0069 code. I drove for about 2 more miles and it shut down again, and started right back up. I'm guessing map sensor? This was the last thing I needed to happen!

Actually that's how I came to the assumption of the map sensor... I'm fairly new to owning a diesel as it is my first... anybody know where the map sensor is so I can replace it?

We are talking about a newer 6.7L right? Out of Warranty? Any mods?

I've got 33k miles, it's a 2013 and I've had the delete with the H&S mini max since the truck has had about 3k miles on it and I always kept it on stock. I'm technically within warranty but it's voided with that obviously.

Awesome thanks a lot... I ordered it from my dealer today. I drove it around today as I had no choice and it must of shut down on me at least 6 times... but it always cranks right back up... I'll keep you up to date as soon as I throw the new sensor in there tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Well, I changed the map sensor and it actually ran worse then before... it got so bad that I had to borrow a buddies tow truck to tow it to a recommended diesel tech. Had to cancel vacation! Stupid truck! I'll let you know what he says as soon as I hear from him.

Sorry to hear that! Out of all the codes that one has about the simplest PIN there is. I hope they get it fixed for you soon.

Good luck

Thanks! It actually turned out the EGR got melted and was stuck in the open position! It was unplugged like your supposed to do when you delete the 6.7's. The diesel tech was even kind of Stumped as to how it was still functioning. so he's going to put the egr delete kit in it and I'm on my way.. I'm glad it's nothing serious
