MY 1997 F350 4X4 C&C ,7.3 TRUCK IS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH NOT REGISTERING THE TEMP GAUGE CORRECTLY. I PUT IN A NEW TEMP SENDING UNIT AND IT PEGGS THE DASH GAUGE OVER ALL THE WAY... SOMEONE MENTIONED THAT THERE IS AN ANOTHER SENDING UNIT TO CHANGE ALSO ?WHEN THE OLD GAUGE WAS IN IT ONLY READ PARTIALLY. ANY IDEAS OR HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED..THANKS

Nice caps there, and if it's pegged I believe you should try checking the ground wire

I had asked about my temp gauge because mine doesn't move at all

Then while you are doing that have someone inside the cab and watch the gauge. If the needle goes up when you ground it, then it's probably the sender, if it doesn't move then it could be the gauge.

I agree, the ground wire is the first place I would check.
