Anyone have experience trouble shooting the 110V outlet in the console? I bought the truck used a couple years ago ('11 F250) and never had any need for it until now.
The green light is flashing, which indicates a fault. Not sure where to start.
Start with the owners manual if you have not looked at it yet? If you find the prob please report back so we all know the fix. Did you look at its fuse? Are you sure there isnt 110 VAC present?
Yes, I read the manual where it states that when the light flashes it is a fault and does not work. And yes, I checked the fuses. How do I know it's not working? Really?
And it is good for 150W as marked on the outlet cover and manual.
Looking for anyone that has experience with trouble shooting them.
There is a voltage converter module located in the bottom of the console. Not sure what the procedure to test it is. The part number is BC3Z-19G317-A. list for 255 at ford but one of the ford parts depts shows it for like 135 plus shipping. Used on on ebay, about 100.
Also the same module is located in the dash on the right side of glove box area for the dash 110v outlet.
Not much to troubleshoot. 12 volts DC in, 120 volts AC out. Unless your a very knowledgeable electronic technician there is nothing on the module for Joe Average to repair.
Also, be careful. 120 volts AC will give you a good jolt.
