Whats a decent manual for a 1996 e150? I saw one on ebay for 1992 to 2005 or so by Haynes and wonder if it can be that good if it covers such a wide range of years.
I need to remove a fuse to make my emergency brake light go off so I can pass emmisions. They wont pass it if the em-brake light stays on and since I worked on my brakes the light stays on.
That basic info should be in the Owner's Manual. However I'd fix what's out of whack. IMO its unlikely that just the emergency brake warning light would be disabled by pulling a fuse.
Thats fine they dont care if all the lights dont work but that one light cannot stay on. I suppose I could troubleshoot the whole system but where would I start?
RockAuto has the Haynes manual it covers 1992-2001 for $14.59
We also carry the Chilton manual which is in CD-ROM form. It covers 1989-2000, for $12.37.
Big O tires found the problem. When brake fluid gets low it sets off the light. They topped it off and now it is fine. This was months ago but I thought I would get back to the group with the info.
