The stock kit (which I bought off e-bay since neither the cover or tire change tools came with my used Ex) contains:
A standard lug wrench (j shape) with two extensions in a nice black vinyl bag. I only use the lug wrench to remove the center caps on the wheels, it has a rubber covered hook on the end precisely for this purpose. If you google you'll find a few pictures of the kit online..
Thanks Misky6.0, that's what I was looking for, I should have been more specific, this sounds crazy but I just finished rebuilding the engine last week and getting it running, it's my wife's truck, anyway I checked out the spare the other night and couldn't figure out where the tools where to change a tire, well I looked in the rear access to the h/ac, the jack was there with the instructions that said it was in the tire cover but it wasn't, we bought this truck new, it's only been into two dealers 5 differant times for repair, the dealer I bought it from, 4 times and one in Nv three years ago when the STC let lose. I was really baffled the other night, I been to Ga and Tx several times from Mn and thought I had the tool kit!!!
I don't have road service, but I discovered that I needed the jack, handle, and black bag mentioned above when I got a flat on 495 just before the Woodrow Wilson bridge in rush hour. I would have bought the OEM, but it cost more used and the new jack has a higher capacity. Believe me though, I looked EVERYWHERE in the truck when my right rear tire blew...
