So on my way to work this morning taking off from a light on a smooth blacktop my message center lit up with "tire pressure sensor fault". is there any way to tell which sensor it is without a scan tool?
Not positive on that particular truck but I believe you'll need a scan tool. I had a sensor go bad on my previous truck (2010 F-150) and had to take it to a dealership to see which one was bad & have it replaced.
I've had that a few times. Very strange because whenever it happens I am at almost the exact same spot on the freeway after driving for about 30-45 minutes. Goes away when I turn the truck off and hasn't happened anywhere besides those spots.

Hey BCfordman38,
I recommend taking your truck to the dealer for inspection. They're in the best position to assist with a diagnosis.
Also, please let me know the year and current odometer reading. I'll see how to best assist on my end.
I've got two separate Fords (both 2013s) that get this message, even after having swapped out winter/summer tires. Had the dealer look at it when I took it in for NYS inspection last month (when the message wasn't on), but he couldn't find any error codes. Just another message to turn off.....
I got that one twice on the way home from Florida in March. First time, it went away when I shut her down after pulling into a fueling station. Second time it went away on its own. I started a thread here and it was suggested sometimes electronics interference inside the cab could cause the sensor to lose communication with the module. I haven't had it occur since, and the dealer stated he can only diagnose it if the issue is present. I've accepted electronic interference from the kids' chargers they had plugged in as the cause.

yeah mine just came on and has been on ever since. I have herd sometimes if you hit a pot hole as well it causes them to stop working. also i find funny is that it was in the weekend prior and they did a programming recall ( i will have to review my receipt when i get home to see which one) on the ecm.
i only have one charger for my phone and the aux plug to play my music. Hopefully i will have this rectified by the weekend and let you all know.
Hi Mariel
it is a 2012 with 90,000km's on it. haven't had time to look into it further yet.
Got it. Please let me know once you've scheduled an appointment with the dealer to have this looked at. I'll check out all available options on my end. Just send over a PM with your VIN, dealer, appointment information, full name, and best daytime phone number.
