Got a 'Tire Pressure Sensor Fault' message a few times on the way back from Florida. Tire pressures were all fine. Hate that it doesn't say which monitor has the problem. Anyway... it comes on, but after a few minutes goes back off. Saw it a total of three times over the course of 1,000 miles in two days. Is this the sensor failing and requiring replacement? Or is the system itself starting to fail? Figures I'm now out of warranty. Would ESP cover this?
I have heard that interference from other items in the truck can cause a problem. Items include things such as a cell phone charger or similar regulated power adapter.
It should be covered by ESP. I would call the dealer service dept and ask.
It does that in my wife's and neices 2013 Fords. It seems to be just a system fault. I wouldn't worry about it if you can't get it fixed under warranty. Just go back to the old school method if looking at the tires.......
Ha. Hauling a fiver on 95 at 65 mph makes checking the tires a little difficult, but the fact that it says 'fault' instead of 'low tire pressure' is reassuring. Wonder if there is any way to delete that feature. Would love to add the TPMS sensors that my triple axle trailer has (TST 510).

Hi BCM,
Your dealership will be in the best position to tell you if a repair can be made under warranty. Are you headed in for diagnosis soon? Let us know how it goes; I'm here if you need my assistance. What's the current mileage on your truck?
Thanks for the quick reply, BCM. If you decide to head in to the dealership, let me know and I'll loop in your regional customer service manager so they can help.
