Hey guys,
This truck has got me stumped. I've looked around the internet to try to find a solution, but it seems my truck is doing things backwards.
It started out if it rained it would do it, now its pretty much every time it sits for 4 or more hours.
It'll start right up, but after a minute the engine light comes on, and it runs really rough then dies. When I go to restart it the fuel pump makes a humming noise (like it normally does) but this time it doesn't stop. I've tried both tanks and it does it on both. if i leave the key in on, it will go away after a minute or two. then it'll start right up. after about ten minutes of running I have no more problems. The other day, it was about five minutes after I started it. I did it to me at a light. So I tried to power through the light to pull off, It seemed like it was stuck in fourth gear. The engine light was on. I pulled off, turned it off, then back on, and it was back to normal. I've tried pulling the codes, but I seem to not get any. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or it's because they don't save. I'm thinking maybe the computer is going bad in it or I have wiring issues at this point.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You have a bad computer (PCM).
Remove the PCM from the truck. It comes out from the engine side of the firewall. Open it up then inspect it for signs of leaking capacitors like thisL
If you have a TV/electronic repair shop, they may be able to salvage it before major damage occurs. Usually when they dump the electrolyte fluid, it will eat through the protective clear coating and then damage the traces.
