okay with those interesting ideas... would a bed with the fuel door work on my truck even though i have the fuel cap- round hole vs the fuel door.
and btw i actually had a better bed that i bought, but it had 2 fuel doors and didn't feel like welding the first one shut. what does a good quality MIG run?
If you swap to the other fuel filler style (door vs cap), you'll also need to swap filler tubes; it can be done though. My '74 has a fuel door on it (from the PO).
If you search on here, I'm sure you can find people doing C2 pump upgrades. You'd need a different bracket and new lines. Not sure the FE was ever available with the C2 pump from the factory, so it may be a custom bracket job... I think for that reason the Saginaw pumps are a popular upgrade on those engines.
found one that said they will bolt on but may need shimed a little. if i find a bed from a 76-79 with the door it should have all of what i need there.
for the pump i all ready know the differences, and have the special line for it.
so what I think I will be doing-
new gear box
new power steer pump
F-350 Brake booster upgrade
tires
Headers-Sanderson ceramic coat/ non may spray with header paint a few times then a high temp clear
body
dress the engine up a little.
paint- most likely 2007 f150 dark grey(gray)
once I get the truck built, I think I may go with a 445 stroker, assuming, I can pay for gas, and the kit itself but that is a maybe

That order makes sense. Just remember to avoid doing things twice and to follow a logical sequence. There are some guys who start with the body and end up chipping the paint while R&Ring the engine. Or some who start with the interior (because it is instant gratification) and then get overspray on it.
oh and I want to do the pertronix kit as well.
the only problem with body is I may have to find a new bed, what years fit, looking to possibly go to fuel door instead of cap
