73 Ford F100

Hey guys, just wanted to post a thread about my truck. Its a 73 f100 camper special 390/c6 2wd. It is pretty clean paint has a little surface rust but is good enough for my first truck! The original engine had a bad knock when I bought it. So me and my dad pulled it out and it sucked a valve and threw pieces of the piston through the cylinder wall and everywhere! Hopefully putting my other engine back together soon!

Nice looking truck! Bad luck on the motor but its great experience putting one back together with your own two hands.!! Good luck. Are you going back stock or gonna build it up some since you have it apart?

I'm going with stock for now! The engine I'm putting in it wa rebuilt .010 over so it's a little over stock!

Nice looking truck. Do you have any plans for it after you get it running?

Thanks! yeah for right now i just want to get in running! But at some point i would like to lower it with the djm shackles and such!

Awesome looking truck, sucks it had a bad engine that suffered that much damage. Good project and learning experience to build and install an engine though, hopefully ill be doing the same with a 460 soon.
