I have a 2003 f350 6.0 diesel and I am thinking about installing 05-07 Harley Davidson lights. I know you have to do some cutting I'm not worried about that. What I'm worried about is where to buy them (can't afford $500-$600 for oem ones). But scared to buy aftermarket ones due to fogging up and being cheaply made. So what I was wondering where to buy cheaper oems or who makes good aftermarket ones?
I upgraded my headlamps to the Harley style ones, and bought an aftermarket set off eBay. This was about 5 years ago and mine still look good other than the normal yellowing that needs to be buffed off now and then. This truck lives outside permanently and I've never had any condensation or leak issues. You should do just fine with an eBay set, and you'll save a lot of money.
Aftermarket are only about 150 bucks. If they last 2 or 3 years just buy another set. Oem even discolor after a few years.
That's my thought on the subject. In fact, mine are in need of another good polishing and I'm thinking about just buying another set for about $130 from eBay. I've also noticed that now you can get them with LED "daytime running lights" in them that might look cool. I know they won't do squat in terms of additional lighting, but they look neat.
