Recommendations for seats please 96 F250 Extra Cab

Hi, we have a 1996 F250 extra cab, I want to replace the back bench seat with something that comes up higher on the glass, so that back seat passengers don't have their head against the back window. Also looking for a 60/40 split for the front seat.

My question, are there other seats aside from similar year Fords that will fit?

thank you!

You are SOL. Nothing is made that will do what you want to do front or rear

That sucks! Thanks for letting me know, that's why I was wondering if I could buy say.... Dodge seats and have them installed? My oldest child is about to outgrow a booster seat and I don't want her head on the glass. (She's 8yrs and very tall)

This is probably your only option for the rear bench, I don't know of any seats you can swap in to the rear.

We really want to pull the engine and drop it in a 4 door, same year, do they make backseats that are higher in a crew cab?

That's odd, our back seat is much taller than that

That is for the Older SUpercabs. His is new enough to already have the "lift" in it from the factory

Sorry, my post didn't make sense, I wonder if a crewcab about the same year might have more seat options, we want to upgrade to a supercab at some point.

Crew cabs, with a much larger cab than a SuperCab, don't have any more options, but the one option is much better. Crew cabs have a full size bench seat in the rear. And if the truck is new enough (~'92?) it will have highbacks in the two side seating locations.

You say you want to upgrade to a SuperCab at some point, but I'm thinking that's what you already have. You called it an Extra Cab, but I think that's a Toyota term. It doesn't actually apply to any Fords. But Ford's SuperCab is the one that has enough room behind the front seat for a smallish back seat that kids outgrow at about 8 years old.
