I think I'm just going to pick up some 1st gen mounts then. They have to be cheaper than the $350 the conversion shops want.

If I find them, I'll let you know! So far just searching around the net I haven't found anything more than the rubber part of the mount.

I found part numbers, but they are no longer available it seems 04429079 and 04429078.

I'm going to check with the Dodge parts guys at work tomorrow.

You're not going wrong if you get the conversion mounts very easy to install, worth the money. I'm in Ohio and got mine in 3 days then about 2 hours to get it in the Ex.

Do all mounts require the trans to be moved back and drive shafts modified?

I used a built 47rh and my ford transfer case. My rear drive shaft is about 3 or 4 inches too long but mine is an 04 Ex. I guess it depends on what transmission you are using.

I used an nv4500/ford case. Cross member stayed in the same spot but I had to drill new holes for the mount.

On mine I had to shorten the front shaft 2" and lengthen the rear driveshaft 2". The rear shaft from an extended cab, short bed powerstroke/auto/4wd super duty fit perfect.

So I took her out on the road today and she ran great. I will be doing a build log as soon as I get everything together I just wanted to thank you guys for all the insight and knowledge that guided me through this awesome build. THANK YOU

I would love to do a swap in my 03 Excursion that has a V10. It's a 2wd that I bought for cheap.
