I have never heard of the position sensor going out without the OD light flashing. Usually when that goes the OD light flashes and shifts get harder. Did the shop check that out? The sensor on the side of the tranny.
The shop checked for codes and found none for anything. I used my scanner and it also shows no driveline codes. The OD off light does not flash and seems to work correctly. The only time it shifts hard, and this is harder than it usually has in the past, is when I accelerate at a slower rate. Like if you were in stop and go traffic. If I accelerate like you would away from a light in say a 45mph zone it shifts just like it always has. If I pay attention to it I can make it shift smoothly almost every time.
I'm beginning to like I'm just being paranoid and it may be the same as it always has been. Nothing I did during the oil change could have changed anything I can think of. I have checked all plugs and hoses under the hood and nothing is disconnected. All the dash gauges read the same as always. The trans fluid was clean and unburned and with the exception of a tube of sealer left in the bottom of the trans pan nothing looked out of the ordinary. I'm at a loss so I'm going to watch everything extra closely for a while and hopefully I'm just blowing smoke up my own ****.
