Hey guys, I've got a issue with my 1993 F350. The other day I went out to start my truck and when I moved the key back to shut it off it turned but felt too easy. Like something disengaged within the mechanism. Now the truck is stuck "on" where ever the ignition key is located. I pulled the cylinder out and it's fine, actually I just replaced it a few months ago anyhow.
Is there a rod or something within the column that I can check to see if it came loose?
not that bad. you have to remove the steering wheel and some other things. i have never done a 92 and newer truck, but the 91 and older trucks took about 1 hour for a competent wrench turner.
i know there is a writeup here on how to do it on the 92 and newer trucks, but i just spent 1/2 hour searching for it and can't find it.
