Does Edge programmer turn off the EGR?

Does Edge programmer turn off the EGR?
On Torque I have the EGR error and EGR commanded on my screen, but I have never seen the EGR commanded change. I do have an Edge, so I wondered if this cut off the EGR without setting a DTC?
