Antifreeze help

Friend of mine blew his egr block off rubber stopper on the radiator and lost a bunch of coolant. Anyone know if this stuff is ok to put back in?

G-05 is a hybrid OAT (Think the "Gold" coolant that Ford used to use) versus a pure OAT (The reddish/orangish stuff currently used by Ford). You want something that is actually dexcool approved, as dexcool happens to meet Ford's standards for coolant. Another note, Ford uses a pure OAT now.

I'm going with no. Get the specialty orange if at all possible. What Jus2shy said about OAT is very important.

G 05 is a replacement for Ford premium gold used in the 6.0. I definitely wouldn't use it in the 6.7.

If you got impatient and put some of that stuff in any way. You will need to flush and refill the coolant system.

Thanks guys. Luckily he doesn't need it asap. I told him yesterday to just go to the dealer but he didn't listen lol. So we waited. He's going to get it straight from ford tomorrow.

After 2010 and with the 6.7 Ford uses the new stuff now. Even my 2015 Lincoln uses orange coolant.
