my pick up seems to have really bad transmission problem I just put a new clutch Presser plate and fly wheel and the trans is only about one year old and it is still having problems going into 3rd gear I am out of ideas on how to fix it. It normally does OK when the trans is not worm. Can anyone help with this problem?
Mine does the same thing. It kind of feels like I can feel the gears aligning for it to go into gear. Mine just isn't bad enough for me to do anything about it yet.
This is the third trans I have put in it. I have just installed the Ts 6 position chip and it kinda helped but it still really bad. Do they make a trans cooler for the zf5?
Clutch/brake pedal assembly bushing. To test this push clutch pedal to the floor and now push the brake pedal hard if you feel you left foot move you need to pull the steering column lower shafts brake booster. Drop the pedal assembly out and rebus it. Don't wait too long like I did and have to replace the whole thing from metal on metal wear. Also the little white bushing on the clutch lever could be worn out. Clutch master cylinder. The function of the master cylinder will be fine but the eyelet that the bushing and lever go in could be elongated making slop in the pedal.
the pedal Bushings are bad for sure... where would I get those? And I will have to try that new fluid. It does seem like the atf is not all that great. Thank you for all the help. I am a new member and this is a great site
