I printed out the sections that I needed and put them in a binder, it's filling up fast. Your right though it is a pain in the butt.

Keep the software use time and date in a doc file or notepad, then change the computer date to that when you need to. Pretty simple.

You guys want a quick fix for the date issue?
I have one that works so very well.
Look for a program called "Run As Date" when you install it look
at the options and create a desktop icon for the DVD with the click
box in the options. When you set it up don't make any changes in the
start options and you should be fine.
BTW Don't get this from Download.com. They seem to like to
put a lot of crap in the package.
Then are you tired of swapping in the DVDs ?
There is an easy fix for that also and easy to do. If you want that fix
PM me and I'll send you the instructions I got from Creator.
Works very well. If you do get and use it and like it be sure to send
him some Reps.

It does sound like it "might" be time to toss that one.
Here is the funny part I like the older Panasonic ToughBook CF-29.
The only thing I use it for is truck stuff.
I have access to a bunch out here that are for sale. I can get prices
if you need/want one. They like XP Pro but if your only doing the truck
and not out on the web they are safe.
If you get it in hard copy it's black and bronze. Covers testing and PIDs.
Along with a few other things.
The DVD tends to have all 4 sections and you can print or export PDFs.

Thanks. I might take you up on that in the not to distant future.
