Does the box just hang under the dash, or is there a particular way it is supposed to be mounted?

Thanks,

Mounts on the bottom lip of the dash below switch. Behind the dash where you can't see it. One screw.

Not sure - my truck doesn't have intermittent wipers; I've got that post tagged in my "watched items" on ebay but haven't done the conversion yet myself. Maybe Bill's got a diagram?

Look at the pic of the governor, its prefix is marked E7TF .. its basic part number and suffix have been scratched off.

This set up is from a 1987/91, not 1973/79! Seller probably assumes that potential buyers will think E7TZ refers to 1977. It does not!

1987/91 F150/350 & Bronco intermittent wiper governor ID engineering number: E7TF-17C476-AB or CA

This ID number cross referenced to part number E7TZ-17C476-A which was replaced in 1989 with E9TZ-17C476-A

Bill,
So does that mean it won't work?

Thanks,
Chris

I noticed that, but pretty sure I've seen threads with people here using modules from that era to retrofit intermittent wipers into '73-79s too. He's not selling as factory original number-matched parts, but as a conversion "kit" to upgrade. I don't know of any reason it wouldn't work in that regards ... ?

From reading other threads, the later-model switch/governor will work as an upgrade, just may need to swap a wire on the two-wire connector to get the washers working:

I think I'm gonna do this myself while I've got my truck's instrument cluster out to get to the wiring anyway.
