HIO is right they clear the starter. I got em and painted em with VHT but the look like crap now so I would for sure get em powder coated. I got a couple vidros on youtube. This is my truck after I put em on. I ain't sure how to post a link but here is how you can look em up on youtube, copy and paste.

ok, only reason I was wondering, was summit raised the price of the headers I wanted from 441.99 to 508.99, and the sanderson ceramic are roughly 514.99, so I figured if I will spend that much why not go with shorties. now their website says don't use a gasket but should I use a gasket? nice truck and sound GaRedneck91!
sanderson headers go in easy compared to other headers right?

Way easy. Don' t even need to jack up the engine as with long tubes. No gaskets are required... only a light smear of rtv to fill any imperfections on the heads. The flanges are thick and dead flat.
did you go local on the ceramic coating?,silver looks great. How much did that set you back if you dont mind me asking?
I opted for Sanderson's ceramic coating since they are more apt to stand by what they sell and not blame the "other guy".
Btw, last summer I bought second set of FF427s for my 71 F250 at a Sanderson booth while at a GoodGuys show/shine/swap meet... Instead of $525, it was $450 if I recall correctly... plus it was shipped to my home.
