Injector Harness

Is there a difference between the two harness #'s here besides the first number:

3C3z9d930aa

4C3z9d930aa

Are they the same part? Is one for a different model truck than the other?

explained the parts numbering system.
But for the life of me I don't recall just who it was.

One part (3C3z9d930aa) is the FICM wiring harness for an 03/early 04 model year engine. The other is for a late 04. To decide what one you need with your 04 model year, locate the ICP sensor.

Mark, my truck is manufactured 11/03. ICP sensor is located on front passenger valve cover.

And thank Sean! It's ok. I was thinking I needed the one that's starts with 3....hope i'm right.

You have a late 04. You need the one that starts with a 4.

Thankx Mark. I guess I know what the '3' and the '4' are for now. Year of truck early or late?? Right?

Ford part number 101.
ANY Ford part number is divided into three sections, the PREFIX (5C3Z), the BASE PART NUMBER (9F452) and then the SUFFIX (AA). On ANY Ford part number the PREFIX will ALWAYS end with a Z (some early Lincoln/Mercury model line specific parts used to end with a Y). If the prefix doesn't end with a Z, it is NOT a Ford part number. It is either a STAMPING number or ENGINEERING number.
