I just bought a 2012 Super Crew with a Leer topper. I never tried locking the topper until after I bought it. It came with 2 keys for the topper, with 'Bauer' stamped in the key - is that the way they originally come ?
I can insert the key into the lock, and can turn the key, but it does not actually 'lock'. What are the exact steps to locking the topper ?
The salesperson was no help.
I checked the Leer web site and could not find a solution, nor an online owner's manual, so hoping someone here can help.
You sure it doesn't lock turning one way? I found the locks weren't too particular about what key was used FWIW. It would lock though, and keep casual thieves out at least.

Thanks.
I think you turn it to the right or 180 degrees one way or the other then pull out the key. which ever way it locks.
