It sounds good to me, but what should I be listening for and under what conditions ?
Do a search in various Ford forums, some members have posted YouTube videos of their noises. Though the noises can vary between vehicles, a constant I noticed is a taping knocking type noise that is only present when engine is either hot or cold.
For my 2012 it was a tapping only when hot and at idle. It sounded like the metal end of two screwdrivers being hit together rythematically. It was a hoot in drive throughs. Sounded like someone under the hood black smithing.
