Loose Shocks Causing Front Pop?

Loose Shocks Causing Front Pop?

Hello all. I have a 2000 f150 xlt 4x4 with a 6" suspension lift. Recently ive had some front end noise, so after swapping out a lower ball joint and the sway bar links, i still have the pop.It only happens when at a stop or slowly moving and i turn to the right and accelerate. It sounds like its coming from the front drivers side. I have wiggled everything in the front end and everything is very tight. The only loose things i can find are:
1) Bottoms of shocks can be wiggled back and forth, both sides do this.
2) driveshaft leading to the front end has a lot of play, but i dont believe thats relevant since its not used when im in 2wd.

Please help its driving me crazy.

6 inch lift ? I would think the axle shafts have one heck of an angle at the CV joint near the hub. Maybe the angle, plus the turning angle puts the CV in a small bind at that point.

Ive considered the cv joint getting bound up, but just would figgure it would happen to both sides.

All my tie rod ends ball joints everything is brand-new but that tie rod on the driver side it Knox around Hittn on the frame back-and-forth While turnning.

Possibly. I can only really hear it with the windows down, so it may have been there for a while. If i slowly accelerate, it wont do it. Oh well. I guess just drive it untill something breaks, then fix it.

Both my bottom shocks and shock mounts were egged shaped. Causing a bobble sound like something was loose. replaced with new shocks and cranked them super tight.. Funny thing is. A week later my dads dodge did the same thing.

Stick a pry bar in there and test for this.

I also have a 6 inch lift. Check your steering idler arm. Mine went out and cause the steering linkage to hit the frame when turning either direction.

Are you absolutely sure your radiator core support is not broken or rusted away? The points of support are pretty hard to see unless you remove some of the plastic shrouds in the engine compartment. Tipoff is to see that the radiator has dropped an inch or more from its upper support mounts, or that you can move it up & down - but it would be best to take a direct look at the mounts on the bottom of the radiator, and they're not easy to see.
All the 1999-2003 F150's I have seen in local junk yards (8 or 10 of them) have defective radiator core supports. They don't call this area the Rust Belt for nothing.
