head light problems
I have a 2003 f150 xlt supercrew my head lights come on wen they want i can be driving an they just cut off its a manuel switch not automatic come on have any one had this prob before

Are you running fog lights when this happens? I had a car that would do that when I had the fog lights on and it would overheat something in the wiring/fuse box and shut my lights off for a few minutes.

Headlights?
Had a similar problem with my '01 Screw XLT.
Lights would come on when parked with switch in off or auto position. They would flicker, I could hear a relay clicking rapidly. Sometimes when going down the road as well.
Changed the headlight switch, problem solved.
when you fix it, let us know how/what worked.
