it will fit no problem but the 42 is made for an idi not a powerstroke it is rated for less power and geared a little different i have put the 42 in powerstroke b4 they just dont seem to last they end up cracking the bell housing now mind you these are tow truck that i am doing this with so they see alot of heavy loads constant towing and many different feet on clutch may be under normal use they will hold up fine idk but i do know i have done it 3 times and broke all 3 ssame place
