Side mirrors

Hey guys. I need some help getting different side view mirrors. 97 250, and it has the small ****ty mirrors that slide out for towing. I did a search on here for recommendations but didn't really get to much info. I want something to replace the small mirrors with out to much fabrication. I want something that I can just bolt on too the existing sliding bracket. I like the larger side mirrors that I saw in an early post, but google searches have not given me much to go on. Any help would be great. Thanks in advanced.

Description of your mirrors is unclear. There are three factory mirrors:
* Paddle-style / passenger-car-style, aka "Nemo" mirrors - two bolts right at the beltline of the door, plus a bolt on a "outrigger" that bolts to the door inner structure
* "Swing-away" mirrors, medium-size head on a bracket shaped like a "7". Two bolts at the beltline, and two more at a single mounting point partway down the door. This one can be folded almost flush with the door.
* Full tripod trailer mirrors - large head, two bolts at the beltline and two more on separate legs, about 2/3 of the way down the door. These stick out from the door no matter what.

Which one do you have, and which one do you want?

Thanks for the reply guys. Yeah it sounds like I have the swing away mirrors. As far as what I want, anything better than what I have. I'd like a bigger mirror that mounts to the extending mount. Not sure if there is anything out there like that though.

I know some guys have mounted the goose-neck mirrors from the tripod brackets to the swing-away bracket and like the results. It would probably eliminate the need for the extending mount, it just clamps on doesn't it? Another option is the west coast style mirrors pictured below. I like this setup the best and plan on doing it at some point when I get the chance.
