Does ICP FALL OFF on a WOT BLAST

If the HPOP IS tearing itself up could be sending scrapnel to injectors

Happy Easter. ICP does not seem to fall off unless I didn't notice. I was watching mostly the IPR but I think I would have seen it if it dropped off. Pretty much have to decide whether to fix it or try to sell it the way it is. It kill me dropping the kind of money I have and now need to on a truck that is 12 yrs old and has 190,000 miles on it. The way I see it... hpop $600+ ,IPR $200, FICM $400. Just not sure if its worth it. Thankfully I can do the work myself. If not, the decision would be easy to make.

I have both of those in the sg2. I thought there was another that was called "ICP desired". Or does the volts show desired?

Remember you need 500 psi to start and .85 v to start

OK, just went out and started it cold. Fired up in about two seconds and ICP went to about 1700 immediately and slowly came down to 640 as it warmed up. IPR started out around 36 and went down to 22.8 as it warmed up.

Ok you need to do the test like this =
1. in park no radio , HVAC, lights
2 KOEO ( key on Engine off)- make note of Values
3. Low ( low Idle just sitting No Throttle ) make note of Values
4. High ( 2500 rpm steady) make note
after you get those Values Post them up . It's better to have Engine warm before you hit the 2500 rpm so take your time . first thing I would look at cold would be the =
1. FICM nothing below 45v a good healthy FICM sits all day long at 48.5/49
2, ICP - koeo-0 low-625.5 high-1400/1450
3. ICPV-koeo-0.2 low-1.0 high-1.8
4. IPR- koeo-14.84 low-24 high-40.60

one more test you need to do , smell and look at the coolant look for flooties oil or diesel, make a note on the dip stick level there is a good chance your making oil with diesel.

Ok here's what I got... KOEO ficm 48, ICP 10, ICPV .18. IPR 14.8
Cold Idle ficm 41.5, ICP 1080, ICPV 1.30, IPR 31.6
Hot Idle ficm 47.5, ICP 640, ICPV .85, IPR 21.4
2500 RPM ficm 45.5, ICP 1556, ICPV 1.84, IPR 43.7

I have no oil in coolant but I am definitely building oil with diesel fuel.

What do you think?

Thank you for the help.

Your FICM is Toast my friend time to call Ed he has a exchange program , he sends you a rebuilt one and the same box you send yours back to him I'm thinking Injector , you heard air on the passenger side ? copper washer or cup. what did the IPR screen look like?

haven't pulled the IPR yet to look at the screen. I will have to take care of the ficm once the other issue is resolved. I have used Ed before and will again. So fuel in the oil would mean probable injector washer or cup. Could it be Injector O-rings? I will have to put air to the system and see if I can identify where its coming from. Would this cause the symptoms I am having with the hot stall?

Another question. I apologize if I'm not getting it but the info on the link was awesome and gave a great amount of info on a HPO leak which is possible I have. But where can the fuel in the oil be coming from? I drained 7 gallons out today. I plan to air test each fuel rail by charging with air through the port in the front of the head.
