Seat upgrade
Hello All,
I'm looking to upgrade my seat to something much newer. Something with a center fold down with cup holders!
Has anyone done anything like this? Any hang ups or things to look out for that I should be aware of?

quite a few have done an upgrade. Check the sticky out ford truck information also use the advanced search option to search this 73-79 section and you will also find loads of valuable information. Most seats will bolt up using your seat brackets up to 96 I think though.

I'm contemplating the seats that this guy sells, see his ad here: NEW BUCKET SEATS classic car van bus truck hotrod rv jeep
I've met and checked out the seats, I like them, and he confidently states that they can be adapted to fit any truck, including our old trucks.
I met him in person at the Big 3 auto swap in SD last month, he's based in Phoenix but can deliver. He has cloth and leather seats in a variety of colors, and look to be brand new pulled out pf who-knows-what kind of vehicles. I have no idea where he gets them, mostly afraid to ask....

Yes up to a 96 will/should bolt onto your old tracks. or you old track should bolt onto up to a 96 with no mods needed.

I have been contemplating this for over a year. Between looking at over priced worn out seat that need to be recovered and having to fabricate brackets for newer model seats. I was looking at wedge or corbeau brackets and installing racing seats. I just ordered new 40-20-40 bench from shop4seats.com $697 plus 68 for the mounting bracket. While I was was there I picked up two 3 point seat belts just under 1k no shipping charges. I will post some pics once I get everything.
