Well got the shift linkage adjusted so the truck starts in park now but I need to back up the needle a tad bit to be accurate. Anyone out there know how to do that on a '99 F250?
I just did mine today. If you look up way under the dash right below where your cluster gauges are there will be a white dial.
I shifted into 1st gear and adjusted till it was centered than ran through the gears to fine tune.
I found the black adjusting wheel located on the cable, unfortunately the nylon adjusting wheel housing is broken. Trying adhesive but generally doesn't work on nylon. Can't find the replacement part at auto zone unless I am searching for the wrong item. Any ideas would be great.
