88 F 150 Fuel Problems

88 F 150 Fuel Problems
my 88 f150 had fuel pressure problems. it dosent have fuel pressure at the rail even though i can here a pump running. soemone told me this was probly the booster pump. what i was wondering was if i could wire in an elctric fuel pump with a switch so i can just turn it on or off when i start the truck or if this will cause confusion in the computer. there are just to many shorts and problems with the stock fuel system. the only problem i can think of with the aftermarket pumps is if the pump can run continous. does it have a return line for extra gas? thanks
