guys i'm new, and i have a 89 f150 5.0 with only 61k on it. i also have a vortech v2 supercharger for the 89-93 mustang gt and a upper and lower intake from a 89 gt. can i make it fit right if i install the intake. my truck already has the mass air conversion.
thanks,
robert
ah ok, i know the gt intake doesn't flow as well as the truck one, but i mean wouldn't those minimal losses be worthwile, especially since i own a gt supercharger and it would bolt right on, right? The cheapest i can get a charger for the truck is around $3k and i already own the gt charger, so i figured i'd be quite worth it.

You'd have HUGE power losses going to the 5.0 HO intake from the 5.0 truck one. The 5.0 HO one is very small.
That supercharger bolts in via a bracket. It would not be too hard to custom make an intake tube to blow into your MAF meter.
Your Vortech blower will makes tons of power over 5000rpms...problem is that the trucks cam runs out of steam around 4500rpms. Only thing I can think of is install a smaller blower pulley to get some boost sooner. Otherwise you will make ~4-6psi tops...not worth it to me as those gains will be all up top. It can be done but probably not to the extent power wise you are expecting.
Even that you'd still be anemic. I'd sell that supercharger and buy a decent set of heads and a mild cam or just toss in a mild 351W and make more power than both.
