The differences in electric:
1. 77 has fasten seat belt and brake for left and right instrument panel with high beam as a small light in middle. 74 has only brake light and high beam.
2. 77 has AC. 74 doesn't.
3. 74 has light package (cab, ash tray, glove cpmt., etc.). 77 doesn't.

Any issues perceived? Do I have to remove glass?

If it were me, I'd keep the cluster, A/C, and harness with the '77 cab when you swap it. For the light package you can use the '74 for parts if you want to add it to the '77 cab. Most of those (e.g. glove box light), there are already always-hot connection points behind the dash that you just plug into, whether the truck had the option installed or not; any extra wiring you need, you can scavenge from the '74.

Or if you don't want the A/C and you want to use the '74 cluster, use the wiring harness from the '74. Trying to modify one harness to work with the other cluster would likely be a bigger hassle than it's worth.

On glass, no idea. I haven't removed the cab from the frame on my truck - don't know if it would flex enough when moving it to crack the windshield or not. I'm sure others can chime in.
