Aftermarket Tailgate Cables

Anyone have any experience with aftermarket tailgate cables?

I bought them for my 1989 F250 when the truck was about 14 years old. They seem to be OK... Its not rocket science, just a steel cable. Factory cables on my 2001 were still OK when I got rid of it 12 years later.
