did you ever come to the states and take home a truck? you did end up finding one didn't ya?
Yes I have a truck, but sadly still in Arizona, we swaped ZF5 and new clutch in, I am just collecting parts with great help of my friend who has it in front of his house. Need hydroboost conversion, some nice rims, PSD intercooler, instrument cluster with tach- I wonder if versions to Canada had speedometer in miles and km, and just this and that so everything would be shipped at once. Mid May the soonest. I miss it quite a lot, I can not wait to drive it again.
oh ok.well that's ok.better to make sure she's complete and take your time.out in Arizona couldn't be a better place for her.dry and rust free.no point in rushing it.you wont find many parts back home lol.
seems like a nice truck, dana 60 front axle, turbo, for reasonable price ford diesel 4x4
I saw this on the IDI FB page and my first thought was damn, where was this deal when you were here to buy a truck That will be a sweet deal for somebody...
I don't know if there are Canadian trucks with km speedometers and odometers. My truck was built in Canada, but for the American market and has only miles. I don't think I have ever seen a 7th generation truck with km anywhere on it, but I will start looking. That may be really tough to find in the states.
IIRC, that only has a D60 if it was swapped in. Didn't the F250 stay with the D50TTB until the end? Only the F350 got the D60, and that was only 88 and later or something like that.
F250 did not get the D50 ifs standard until 1992. before thta it could be either a D44 or a D50. most diesels got the D50, and all extended cab and 4 door cab trucks got the D50
the D60 solid axle was reintroduced to the F350 in mid year 85 for the 1986 trucks.
Oooh, thats sexy! Its even got the 40/20/40 seats! And I have that same bumper! I wish the body on mine was in better shape, thats what happens when it spends all 30 years in the salt belt.
Would somebody from Canada be so kind and get me instrument cluster with tach for F250 7th gen?
Thanks
You don't even need the whole cluster. Finding one with a diesel tach would be ideal since you seek that also, but if someone has a km marked speedometer unit out of any 80-86 truck it will bolt right in. Jan, you might keep posting your km speedometer and diesel tach needs in the bullnose forum's junkyard wish list. It is like our parts wanted thread except each month it is closed and replaced with a fresh thread. Keep hitting them up, someone from Canada or northern states must have one they would part with...
