flowtech headers vs starter

1978 2wd 351m 4 speed standard trans. header install. the starter wire terminal hits the header. do I just dent the headers in to make it fit? (will need a pretty healthy dent) will a reduction starter from a 1996 351w standard trans work on my truck? i.m pissed off at these headers. I had 4x4 ones on here before(replacing because they rusted out)and fit no problem.

There two different locations for the starter hot wire on these trucks. I think the placement changed in mid 77. Another option is a high torque starter from someone like Power Masters.
