I noticed the following while working on the truck today. Take notice of the injector plug that is circled in red. I am guessing the plastic has become brittle from the heat. Is there a way to replace the plug or do I need a whole new injector?
When you replace one be careful and go slowly. You don't
want to bend the pins of damage the locking colors on them.
The other thing to keep an eye on is the wire location.
Last time I looked the new plug was running about $25.00 each.
Also, make sure the connectors are "locked" in place and reconnected before you put the valve cover back on.
If not locked in, they can fall back down and you are sol!
I use a 19 or 20 mm socket to push down to release all the pins together when removing. It seems to help, keeping from breaking those pins when trying release to remove.
Good luck.
