Is this dirty?

While waiting for Orings for the nipple cups and injectors to come in I decided to pull a injector and this is what I found. Is this normal for 143k miles?
Thanks!

Not really that bad. See my photos. Just looks like oil or fuel
got it wet is all.

I would make sure to use a injector cup brush to clean the bores
so you don't hang up any of the new injector O-rings when you reinstall it.

BTW that cup is there to show the size of things. That is all there is to the cup in the 6.0 also.

Now here are some photos of the #8 injector I pulled because it was not running very happy.

It's hard to see in the photo but the nozzle holds are really nasty with crust.
In fact the whole nozzle tip is crusty.
I solver the unhappy with 2 injectors #7 & #8 smoothed the idle right out.

Thanks for those pics Sean! Those holes are so tiny! I couldnt see the hole on mine at all. I hadnt planned on doing anything other than change a couple o rings but after seeing that gunk, I think I'll pull them all and give them a once over. I saw the videos and threads on stiction and injectors in the tech folder but couldnt find anything about cleaning the injector tips. There was some good info on the plunger but nothing about the carbon on the tip. What bisides a soft brush should be used? Any particular kind of solvent thats safe?
As always, i sure appreciate you!

No idea what you would use or is safe.
Maybe WD40 and a green scrubby pad?
Rince it off after with more diesel so all the stuff comes off.

I have always used premium diesel where available. So far no problems @ 202000.
