I'll go check, but can our mirrors be pushed a little further forward? Right now they are angled back just a bit I think. If you can push the housing an inch forward it will change the angle and by adjusting the mirror back to you it might give you wider sight line?
Somebody over at JR Products must be a Ford guy with a sense of humor, photos demonstrated their mirror on a Ram truck with factory towing mirrors.....
Thanks for your help.
I'm not a fan of aftermarket add-on mirrors. When I get time I'm going to pull a mirror off and see if I can modify it to start at the fully extended position and extend the same amount as it does now.
I'm sure I can do it. My only concern is that the plastic sleeve that covers the arms wont be long enough to keep from seeing steel parts inside the arms after I modify it...Which I also don't want. I'm hoping I can shift the arms or maybe buy luck they will just barley be long enough to keep things covered.
I took notice of some if the mirror set ups on the larger trucks. They seem to have a block off plate on the front where the regular mirrors go and then the mirror is mounted right on the door skin. Not sure if this is something that you would be interested in or not.
Honestly, it would probably be less expensive and more effective to install two or four little cameras in the right spots and have a display in the cab while you are driving.
Go to an Rv dealer and check out the camera set ups on the newer motor homes for ideas.
I have a 2015 F350 and tow a Cyclone 5th wheel that is 44' long and I can see down the sides okay but the gap behind me where cars become visible is quite large. I'm just going to bite the bullet, buy a wireless camera and mount it above the ramp door. Since I can't use the review mirror I'm going to get a monitor that clamps on the mirror.
Also I agree with the earlier comments on the headlights, disappointing. They pale in comparison the the lights on my wife's 2013 Camry. The high beams on that car are amazing!

You're probably right. The only thing is, I don't have just one trailer that I haul.

This hit the nail on the head. It's not that I cat see at all. It's that the blind area bihind the trailer is very large. I'll have to do some math to figure just how close I can't see behind my trailers.
I have a 13 and my headlights are very bright, when I'm in the country using brights I get flashed to dim them from 2 miles away regularly, I can see very well. Can't imagine anyone complaining about them being dim. Maybe they have theirs adjusted incorrectly, lol
