My truck (in sig) has paddle-style mirrors and lately I have grown to hate their looks/poor visibility. I think that they look too small on a diesel SD. I know there are some people who have upgraded from their old mirrors to newer ones. I am looking for a pair of tow mirrors that are 99-07 models.
Look around on E-Bay. For a couple dollars more get the heated, their worth their weight in gold for those winter months and rainy days, wished I had the heated.

x2 on the heated mirrors! I don't have the turn signals on my tow mirrors but I did upgrade from standard tow mirrors to ones off an 01 Ex with the heat. Love them!
Can't say that heated mirrors are of any value to me, but then again I live in an oven down here in Arizona.
My truck is a late '99 and it came with the larger tow mirrors but they were only designed to fold towards the rear. Shortly after I purchased my truck (back in the 1900's...), I was trying to back a trailer into a very tight gated opening. I got my mirrors caught on the gate and they destroyed themselves because they didn't fold forwards like the later styles. I went to Ford and purchased 2 replacements that fold both ways. So far so good with this second set....
If you find a good deal on a pair of mirrors, check to make sure they fold both ways.
My truck originally had tow mirrors, which I upgraded to the '08 style a couple years ago. WOW. The '08s are even better! Almost a Direct bolt on fit, (one of mine had a nipple I had to grind off, other one fit w/o modifications) but you'll have to do some wiring if you want to take advantage of all the extra features they have. Got mine off Ebay.

Looks like prices just went up -I bought double swing manual mirror 2 weeks ago for $88.40 out the door.
I am really impressed. The finish quality is better than OEM.
Also the telescopic arm extends 1" farther than the fixed arms I originally had. That is very appreciated.
From what I've read, you gotta watch out for cheap knock offs. They vibrate a lot at highway speeds. C-betrs are definitely a must though! The best $50 I've spent on the truck in a while.
