Back on the road again, Thanks everyone for your help and advice. Decided to return the truck to Powerstroke Magic where the Bulletproof was done. Come to find out the #8 injector was over fueling and no coolant leakage was shown by the Pressure test. Just a small water hose leak at bottom of radiator. Garret showed me how he does the EGR delete and it makes since to me now, since the EGR cooler and valve are still on the motor. I don't want to say much more than that, may be a trade secret. Anyway, my confidence in this Team paid off and I am now waiting for the next Ford fault to happen, just kidding, another lesson learned and thanks again.

Glad you got fixed up. Garret did my truck and wife's excursion as well and I am completely happy with his work.

Well about two months later and it's back in the shop again Looks like I will have a almost new F350 6.0 before its over, if I keep it. Started to pass a slow mover towing another vehicle today and a puff of black smoke/sutt came out and automatic loss of power. Only going 50 mph when I accelerated to go around them. Sounded like bearings in turbo?

Could not get it back to them this time, in College Station area and wrecker could not get up here today. Plan 2 in place , will see.
Update; It was the turbo!!! Since then, replaced A/C system completely except for the condenser coil. Now today, loaded truck and small trailer headed to deer lease, stopped at McDonalds for quick breakfast and it wouldn't crank back up. Mechanic says maybe a safety sensor from the oil or fuel pump not letting it get fuel.
What does the 6.7L diesel look like for a broke ex 6.0L owner?
It wouldn't crank back up ? meaning -it would crank but not Fire up Or no cranking power at all? and I would assume hot no start, check stc fittings, cmp/ckp sync.
It's threads like this why I cringe anytime I see someone stating or asking about "bulletproofing" this or any motor. You can't. All you can do is aggressively service and update known weaknesses, but there will always be some problems.

Yes it turns over fine, just seems to not be getting fuel. I let it cool off for one hour hoping for a reset and it still did the same. Mechanic to pick it up today and run diagnostic test.
Thanks, any suggestions on the 6.7L?

Thanks, that why I chose to do the Bulletproof to aggressively update the known Ford weaknesses.
I have over $7000.00 invested in these updates on the 6.0L and going to the 6.7L I am hoping for better luck. I don't abuse the trucks and I'm not over towing them. I've heard from mechanics that the 6.7L's are blowing theirselves up with the power they have and I was asking for opinions about them.
A coworker has a new 2014 6.7 and the truck is really nice. So quiet it's hard to tell it's a diesel. His is bone stock. He recently got stranded because the outlet pipe from his intercooler literally blew apart when he accelerated onto a highway. He got towed to his dealership and had to wait there for 7 hours while they got the replacement part. Needless to say, his fishing trip never happened. Even on "new and improved" models, things break. This applies to all vehicles, not just Ford. Knowing this and if I had the $$, I would get the 6.7, as I said it's a really nice truck.

We'll one way is too open the upper fuel cap and see if it fills up, if not then HFCM down on the rail is bad this is the fuel pump , have him do a ficm sync along with cam and crank (cmp/ckp ) sync. Good luck and keep us posted on the out come
