Joel, the little Yanmar engine is kind of hard on the needle brgs. in the drive line.
Don't know how many hours on it. but I would also check the drive coupling at the flywheel. If there is a rubber cushion in there, I would replace it now.
Thanks Tim, there is a rubber cushion in there and it seems ok. I took it apart and looked it over real good. Bearings are also good. Actually, the rubber cushion won't come out, it's bigger than the opening in the access panel. Looks like the only way to get it out is to pull the engine. I dunno, 850 hours on it. I know it's there now and how to get to it. The worst part was the snap ring and two compression pins holding the drive shaft on. I'm replacing those pins with a 6mm bolt. Next time will be a lot easier.
