2015 grease zerk?

Hey, anyone with a 2015 look at the front U joints? It was pretty nasty/cloudy/rainy today so I could have missed them, but, I didn't see any.

Any chance they are no longer serviceable?

I wondered that myself. I looking underneath my truck before the snow hit and I didn't see any either. Just thought I was missing them and would worry about when the weather warmed up - which is hasn't warmed up enough yet here.

Wondering what the grease points are now for the 2015's - besides the door hinges.

I don't find grease zerks on mine either. But I do hear a very faint "quirk-quirk-quirk" noise coming from under the truck when I'm starting from a stop. I just hope it isn't something that needs lubricant.

They don't let you grease them so they get to grease you?

Doesn't surprise me if they got rid of them.
While I want grease able u joints as much as anybody, being perfectly honest here, I've been replacing the '08 and up u joints more frequently (not my trucks, paying customers). Nobody greases them. XL landscape trucks tend to have them locked in permanently because the kids driving them don't care and don't like getting out of the truck.
I can see Fords perspective, and the better sealing of unserviceable joints will reduce warranty costs..........

Well, thanks for the confirmation. I'm in the process of replacing a $650 drive shaft on my tractor because the grease fittings on the U joints were hidden under the foot plate. I'd have greased them if I knew they were there. I didn't even know the main shaft was under there, never seen it before, it lasted 850hrs though. But one of the U joints partially seized and caused bad vibration so I went looking.

Anywho, we shall find out how well these things do.

I had a Mazda back in the 90's. It had plugs in the usual grease fitting spots. I unscrewed the plugs and replaced them with grease fittings. Anybody see any plugs where you would expect to see grease fittings?

Must be a John Deere. I swear every time I get around mine I discover a Zerk I had not seen before. Went to the dealer and asked for a Zerk diagram for my model...you would have thought I had landed in a flyin saucer...

Every tractor I ever did PD on or purchased myself, came with a owners manual that showed the zerk locations and grease interval in hours.
The ag tractors I own with MFD, no longer use zerks either.

I have a 15' and there are still two on the two u-joints on the front axle. Grease them every time I change the oil.

I do not know of any others...but would love to find some more.

Hmmm, I guess we can start talking about build dates?

I have none, truck built early October/14

And yes, JD 2210. Drive shaft from flywheel to transaxle is under the footbed. With the shaft installed you would need to remove the footbed and use a special needle type grease gun tip.

It's much cleaner now
