E4OD Trans was acting up, JERK shift ?
Today my 1994 E4OD tranny started shifting real hard and Jerky but then I fiddled with the fuses in the box inside the cab and the rest of the day it shifted right. I do not understand what the trans was telling me.
I have read about this in the past, any help would be great. I had the cab over head light short problem last year that was messing with the shifting but fixed that with help from this site.

Since fiddling with the fuses "fixed" the problem, maybe a loose wire or corrosion? If the problem is gone it will be hard to do a permanent fix and you run the risk of creating another problem. I would at least try removing and cleaning the connections from any dirt, dust, rust, or grime that might cause a faulty connection.

Thanks, I am not sure what it was but it went away. I am thinking about trying to find a old school C6 3/4 ton truck in good shape. I like my 94 IDI turbo but I like less complicated as well. Maybe a 5 speed ?

Late last year I bought a 94 f350 idi turbo auto, dually my first diesel, but not my first old car so I have a list of things to do to it before I daily it. Engone and transmission work perfectly, I replaced all the braking system with exception of booster and master cylinder which I just ordered. If you like standard go for it, I will keep the auto as long as I can just for the commodity.
