Keeping your cargo dry

I don't want to at this time put anything permanent in the bed for gear. If you've tried something and it worked, or didn't work so well, could you share. Brands you liked, brands that failed?

I found this roof top bag that is almost what I thought would be ideal.

Get Pelican Cases and you will never have to worry about anything getting wet again.

I just use waterproof suitcases for my clothes and Rubbermaid containers with locking lids for food/camping gear/etc.

I use the Action Packers from Rubbermaid, I have 3 of them in 2 sizes. They keep everything dry and protected. Use them mostly for hunting/camping gear and clothes.

I have one of these:

Amazon.com: Action Packer Cargo Box in Black and Gray: Health & Personal Care Amazon.com: Action Packer Cargo Box in Black and Gray: Health & Personal Care

And 2 of these:

Amazon.com - Rubbermaid 1172 ActionPacker Storage Box, 24 Gallon - Lidded Home Storage Bins Amazon.com - Rubbermaid 1172 ActionPacker Storage Box, 24 Gallon - Lidded Home Storage Bins

I've had them for years, and they hold up very well.

I've got the Extang Full Tilt tonneau on my F250. Not sure if that's too "permanent" for your needs, but it does easily lift completely off in a few seconds.

I have one of the 24 gallon action packers as well. I also have a bestop roll toneau. If you have a Costco near by they have the yellow lid/ black tub containers that are fairly large and work well.
