Ford ESP

can't find the old thread, I'm an idiot I know but I want everything covered especially electronics, injectors, drive train and exhaust crap...thanks EPA. which one would you choose? I'm just at 35,300 miles and don't want to get it certified and pay a higher price. I already have the 75k extended warranty. Ford ESP Plans

Thanks and feel free to merge with previous thread I'm too stupid to find.

I have a 6yr. premium care, figure within 3 years I will know how much longer I want to keep the truck and I can upgrade the warranty from there. Premium care, IMHO, is the only way to go. I did get a $0 deductible on mine too.

I was told you cannot change the term on an esp. I asked specifically if this was possible.

I just went and signed the papers on my new 2015 truck tonight. Of course the dealership has a special guy to explain all their added value programs.

They wanted $990 for paint, leather and carpet protects for 7 years.
I think I can do a few wax jobs for that money.

The dealer gives away a lifetime powertrain warranty. That covers anything that oil touches for as long as I own the vehicle and can document normal maintenance schedule of oil changes etc. So they push a Wrap around Lifetime Bumper to Bumper warranty to go with the free power train warranty. It was like $3500. I expect that trucks like these are going to have an alternator, power steering pump, clock spring, vss etc kinda stuff go bad. But I can pay for a lot of $300 small repairs for $3500 What I'm more concerned about is sucking a valve or throwing a rod, which the free warranty covers.

That is not true... In my contract there is an upgrade provision. I get full credit for what I have already paid towards an upgrade. PROVIDED, I do it BEFORE the 3/36 is up...

PH - Agree of the $990... Waste of money... The wrap around B-2-B sounds nice. $3500 for LIFETIME???? Although usually that means you have to do every maintenance at the dealer too. That might mean this is your last truck for a very long time. At least I would make it my last truck for a very long time if I could do that.

so who has the cheapest? I see numbers on the website but don't know if that's their "dealer price" and would love to know the markup before I call the stealer.
Thanks

Flood Ford is pretty cheap. There is another place that sometimes on some of the policies is cheaper... It is killing me that I can't remember the name of the place right now. For mine I used flood ford, gave it to my local dealer and they matched it!!! I was impressed because it was like 50% less than they wanted. The finance lady had to get permission from the OWNER of the dealership, because none of the managers would sign off on it.

I was kinda happy, because I would rather the place I bought my truck from sell me the warranty, but I wasn't about to pay double for it.

Yeah, that fine print on BEFORE 3/36 is out will get you... That is what got me on my 2011. I waited to long TIME wise...

I also used Flood Ford, have to pay in full at time of purchase. A couple other sites will take a down payment and let you pay zero interest over a yr. but they cost a couple hundred dollars more.

Dang, you guys were reading my mind this morning. Was going to get up and search for this so I would know which way to go. I only have 9k miles on her now, but I've had her for 16 months...looking at which way to go. Didn't buy it for the 6.4 as I knew I wouldn't be keeping her.
I have this site from when I had my 6.4..
http://www.troy-ford-extended-warran...-care-plus.htm
I believe they were cheapest at the time...gonna look around a bit...will check back.
Sorry... I had the wrong link in here the first time

troy was $200 more for the same coverage for me, $2515 vs $2310.
